SU throttle & choke linkages ass'y

Just got an Hif44 which came off a 413 (so I'm told). I've looked right through Scottie's thread re SUs but many of the pics I can't see (get a '?') and I'm stuck. Been years since I messed with manual choke carbs but I cannot make sense of this. This is what I have:

There is a plate with various holes I assume for cable termination (it's fitted loose at the moment) and one linkage only. I'm sure I'm missing some bits, certainly a way of locking a choke cable somewhere - basically where is the choke??

Any help much appreciated. If anyone South East near me has one I'd really like to see one fitted in real life.
(I'm Sevenoaks but will travel a bit).

In the top picture the choke should be on the spindle sticking out below and right of the throttle
Looks like someone has removed the choke....
You're more than welcome to come see mine in Worthing if you can be arsed...

Thanks Twiss, I may actually do that one day! Helps a lot to see the bloody thing in situ.
Meantime, I have an SU with no choke (is it auto?) but the inlet adapter.
On the hunt for another SU now - cash awaits if anyone has a decent Hif44 with a choke, getting frustrated now.
I may call Burlen Monday and see if this thing I have is fixable.

I don't use the choke on mine it just runs like crap for a few minutes til its warmed up ;)
I might have a SU carb body with choke lever in the garage

So that's why yours was running like arse and kept stalling early in the mornings at Wagtail. I thought it was something to do with damp air.

Yeah its because I sort of pulled the choke lever off the dash and couldn't be bothered with putting it back on ;)
