SJ410 (1988 Japanese) low oil pressure switch wiring

My oil pressure switch has no cable to it but it may be tucked away somewhere in a loom - can anyone advise please what the colour coding is for this single wire so I can have a poke around. Also, assuming that the wire does not exist for some reason, if I connect a cable to the switch, how do I connect it at the dashboard end?

Thanks

Ian

Hi Ian.

It should run on the front of the engine, ontop of the rocker cover.

Thanks Henry

The engine is at a machine shop at the moment having a rebore etc and the vehicle itself is at a local garage who will lift the block back in and bolt it to the gearbox on its completion (I have no means of lifting it). I will build it up from there and then I'll have a good look around for this elusive cable. I'm sure though that it doesn't exist.

Regards

Ian

Solved my own problem - I managed to find a wiring diagram online and the missing wire appears to be yellow with a black trace and is just a straight run (no connectors) from the pressure switch to the the back of the instrument panel.

Well done to me!
