Just looking for some opinions from people who have run this handbrake. I picked one up a couple of months back but not got round to fitting it yet. After doing a bit of research online i've not really found much positive feed back on it. Alot of people saying it tends to stick on and eats through brake pads really quick.
The pads that came with mine are ruined so wanted to see what peoples thoughts are before i fork out on a new set.
Is anyone running one problem free?
Is the any improvements/modifications that can be done to make it more reliable??

I had one and thought it was pretty rubbish if I'm honest. I fitted a line lock instead. Much more efficient.

I don't think line locks are road legal though, so not really a option on mine unfortunately.

There's a few tweaks that you can do to them to make them work perfectly.
I have had the same pads for a few years now and it holds really well.
Pop over and I can help you fit and modify it if you want?

No I think they are crap, you should just sell it, in fact I'd take it off your hands for scrap value

I've used one for about a year - no problems at all with it - I did fit an extra return spring on mine and used the shims that come with it to keep the rear pad off the disc. Works well in my opinion.

Ive just got a 410 prop brake currently, haven't actually moved the truck since its been on there so who knows how long it will last!!!
I do know its locked on solid with 4 clicks of the lever (better than the standard Samurai handbrake!)
