Memory map is GPS with ordnance survey maps. Great for offroading as you can see all the byways.
If you get it on iphone you actually have to buy all the maps and they are not cheap lol
£20 each I believe

I have Sygic in my Bongo, it must be about five years old now and I haven't had any real problems with it but I rarely use it. I tend to determine where I'm going from a map and then just turn on the sat-nav when I'm near to where I'm going. I don't recall what is in the Jimny, I haven't used it yet!
I have Memory Map on my laptop and just buy sections of maps when I need them, those are then downloaded to the double-DIN unit in the Jimny.

I just went to amsterdam and back with Sygic... the phone was crap though.
Satnav worked flawlessly all the way through France, Belgium and Holland, but when we got to Amsterdam it couldn't quite keep up with the sheers number of roads!
Pretty sure it would have worked fine on a decent phone

I've just downloaded the memory map app on my phone but it doesn't seem to like zooming in or loading after moving the map
might just go old school and buy a paper map

Yeah the memory map app is rubbish, the maps themselves are great though
mmtracker is way better but you can't really get it any more
