Is it really worth the effort putting a Vitara engine in a 413 Samari ??????

Yes, definitely!
They are so easy to put in, its ridiculous that they didn't offer a 1.6 Samurai out of the factory!
If your 1.3 goes pop then I would definitely put a 1.6 8v in it.
With an adapter plate the 1.6 will pretty much bolt straight onto the gearbox, without the adapter kit its a few minutes with a drill. Then you have to move the driver side engine mount.
You can either buy a custom mount or just drill a new hole in the existing mount!
I used to be an advocate of not using an adapter plate, but it makes it so easy I think its worth the extra £40 or so
There is a guide here
