All come s down to rust really. Loads of these Zooks look great until you start having a poke around.

What's up with the engine?

Its a really tough question to answer, the trouble is what people think it could be worth could be miles away from what folks want to pay.

The best suggestion i would have thought was put it on Ebay basically sold as seen with a reserve price on it,forget about how much it originally cost to buy as that means nothing,if someone can see some potential in it and do the necessary work ie they are a mechanic or weekend spanner warrior then you could get a reasonable amount.

Of course it could be broken up for spares, but not sure if it is just a stock motor or has a fair amount of off road equipment on it as the equipment would be your the items that are sought after and sold easier.

Sometimes once you have taken everything onboard its best just too cut and run and take what ever is offered.

Because apart from dubious so called running s/hand engine units (think we have all experienced these)
he is not up to that exercise.....previous owner completely neglected the vehicle.

Without a good engine I wouldn't have thought that it was worth more than a few hundred quid. Is the body really good or is it just that the rust isn't visible? How long an MOT?

£1600 is a steep price for a 410, I would think the wagon with a knackered engine isn't worth more than a few hundred pounds now.
