Front Doors

Hiya, newbie so apologies if asked a million times before
but
are the front doors on a 5 door Vitara 1998 the same as on a 3 door Vitara 1999

mine is the 3 door I want to get the electric windows mirrors etc off a 5 door

can this be done?

also can AC be installed

The doors should be identical, as for the a/c you might need the dashboard part that houses the controls, or make something up yourself.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm probably going to buy a 'donor' vehicle. cheaper than getting bits here and there from breakers (best not to tell Mrs this part of the plan)_:-) might have to stash the car in a barn down the road.

Anyone know if the standard wiring loom in a 1999 JX made provision for elec. mirrors and windows and AC? If not how difficult would it be to splice portions of a wiring loom that does back into a JX (3 Dr softtop)

Pretty sure that's a no. I'v had most of my Vit wiring apart at some stage or other and never came across any. Would be easy enough to wire up extras though.
