It's the roof and windscreen frame that'll be the bastard to get back into shape.

I think That's going to be a hell of a lot of work, there might be more rust hiding underneath as well.

It is possible with some good hours put in though!

Would be a hell of a lot easier to fix if it was a soft top, unbolt all the damaged bits and replace!

Just my opinion, but as it's a type 1/2 I think that should swing in favour of the restoration option.

I'd be tempted to cut the windscreen surround out and weld a new one in.

Getting the roof to line up will be a pain in the arse, but I really can't see that windscreen surround ever being straight enough again.

If it's not 100%, it'll put strain on the new windscreen, which could then crack.

Robbie.....if you can find a donor roof from a rusted out tintop and can get it up to me I'll happliy do the transplant :thumbup:
