What can I say, Tramp isn't the only person with exceptional taste in motor vehicles.

Always wanted a 240 GLT, searched for one for my first car with no joy and decided a few weeks ago to look again. Searched the web, made a few enquiries on the Volvo forums and a day trip to Falkirk and back on Saterday, I have one.

It has a few body work issues to sort and requires some general tidying up but overall I'm well chuffed with it.

The 2.3lt Red Block is about run in on 178,000, runs well and has that unique Volvo sound, may need a cherry bomb though. I've no major plans, tint the windows, drop it to the floor.

This was always my ideal

I love it, well done, is it full leather interior too? Are the Virgo alloys standard? I like how yours has the head rests on the rear seats, mine doesn't have that, it looks tidy too, mines the baby engined 2.1 so you should have a little more grunt than me! Is it carbed or injected? I love it any way all 244's are fantastic in my opinion!

*edit*
So how low are you going? Classic swede do -40mm springs for £150, but if your planning on going lower thAn that you maybe thinking coilovers?

It's injection mate, I'm thinking 50-60mm. The chap I bought it off is talking to classic swede about custom lowering springs, still £150 though! The 40mm springs only give 20mm on a GLT as they already sit lower, or so I gather from what little research I've done so far.

The Virgos are standard GLT fitment to the best of my knowledge, they are definitely staying!

Oh yeah, full tan leather Luke, tan door cards, tan lower dash panels!

Classic swede do coilover struts too- £650 with part ex (ouch) I think there's a guide on turbo brick for making your own. Tan leather, that's posh!I have full cloth interior so I'm a little jealous! A great car, I hope it lived up to your expectations!

Other than a slight electrical malfunction (ignition module) it's spot on, gives me a real daft grin driving it.

I'd have preferred black leather, but the tan adds more character.

Great, mine has the electric windows on the center console, that gave me a very hot trip home! Then I found the switches! I like the tan - much better than my cloth, it's amazing our cars are 7 years apart but the interiors are virtually the same ( bar the seat material)

And your is a manual too, much better for drifting!

Full electric windows in the GLT, in the right place too on the door.

Electric mirrors, sunroof is manual though. Yet to actually check all the electricory works properly.
