What music system do I have in my GV?

Hi All,

I don't know if the music system is a standard Suzuki fitting, but my guess is it's not. I was out in it earlier getting GF from work so I took some photos on my phone of the CD Player and searched online when I got home. Unfortunately, I can't find a single reference online to the number/name combination it has on the front of it??? Most unusual as I'm pretty good at searching. Excuse photo quality, it was already dark and my camera phone is only a 2MP thing on an aging HTC :P

This is all it says on the front panel area -> RM8300-MAXUS and further along it says -> CD/MP3/WMA Player 4x40 Watts RDS, and that's it. Nothing else really on it that could give me a clue to the maker. It is a front loading CD Player with a Radio and loads of buttons etc and there is no CD Autochanger located anywhere in the Vitara that I'm aware of either?

It's not really that important as I just like to know what stuff/equipment I have that's all so if nobody knows it's no problem.

The player sounds absolutely SUPERB!! I have to say and Suzuki must have put some good quality speakers in the GV because I can have the volume up around 40 and it's too loud to be comfortable really and there's no distortion. Just pure clean sound from a few of my MP3 filled CD's I have tried in it so far. The volume goes up to 100 :S so I don't think I will ever need to use it that high or me and the GF will be stone deaf in no time! As I said though, excellent quality sound whatever make it is :D We likey very muchly :cowboy::

You found it Darrell!! Thanks mate as I did have a search and found nothing. I have to say that the fact it's a real budget number really surprises me as it certainly doesn't "sound" budget at all. Maybe those speakers that Suzuki fitted are even better than I thought, or it's just a cheaply priced player that actually works and sounds very good for the money? Who knows eh? But I like the sound a lot I have to be honest and this from someone who has always bought good quality Kenwoods, Sony's, Panasonics,......well, all the top Japanese and other stuff I'm sure you get my meaning. Thanks again!

Andy

Thanks again for the great info Darrell. I have thought about maybe buying one of those DVD pop out screen player thingys so I can watch a film or whatever while waiting for the GF, (she's a Staff Nurse and they NEVER finish on time almost every day and I'm often outside the Hospital for 30-60 mins waiting!). Do you think one of these will fit nicely into the slot left if I remove that Radiomobile CD Player, or do they require a lot of room to fit? I wouldn't be buying an expensive one as a budget DVD player will do fine as we do such small mileage per year it's not worth the expense to be honest. Thanks!
