Is it best to remove the body?

Started stripping the Sj down today and found a fair amount of rust, Im wondering as im changing the engine it its worth taking the whole body off to repair all the parts?

Yours looks almost as bad as mine lol. I found it a hell of a lot easier to remove it. It's not heavy but mines only a 410

This is a 410 too, the interior is already out, just debating whether or not to leave the engine in to take the body off or take the engine out and then try and take the body off.

need to put the standard shackles back on so we can see how much it lowers by

Body off I would think.
Not sure how difficult it would be be to lift it over the engine though.

i can take the engine out if needed as replacing the engine and box all together

I took body off before engine made engine removal easy lol.

2 of us lifted body off so it's not too bad. As you can see by my build thread my body is sitting on its side. But then I making new sills and floors and wheel arches only keeping the firewall gearbox tunnel and outer shell.
