Hi, the track rod end on the drivers side is fubar - no problem I have one to fit - but what happens with the passenger side? looks like its not replaceable? what happens when that goes?
Sorry just realised its in the wrong section please move

You can't replace that end, usually have to get a new track rod :(
There was somewhere online in the UK that you could buy them from... think they were £80-100

To say you *can't* replace it is going a bit far - if you know what you're doing you probably can, but I'm not sure of the legalities of messing with steering components like that. Bolt on is fine, but (at least in the UK) if you cut off a rod end and weld a new one on, you might be looking at an MOT fail if they realise.
Having said that, if you drilled it, tapped in a thread and wound in a new rod end? Can't be any different to the other end, surely?

Weld on will fail, your not allowed to apply heat to steering components, Ive got a bar in the shed with a welded on track end

The actual MOT guidelines state 'excessive heat' I think. question is how exactly are they going to tell if it's been freshly painted?

The less I say about my drag link, the less you lot can let slip under interrogation, all I'm saying is that I know it's safe.
