Depends, any idea how "original" the S1 is Ju?

It will be around for along time, he has a new Galvanised chassis being made up for it.
It is completely original apart from the engine that was changed after 4 years.

So engine isn't original. New chassis being made (bit pointless, fairly sure you can still buy them).
It's as original as triggers brush. No more original than my Samurai.

The engine is the same that was in there to start with but went wrong and got replaced. You can still buy an S1 Chassis but they are all rusting out and need alot of repair. If you had the money would you buy a Chassis where you had to cut sections out and weld new ones in, or have one that you give all the details of the vehicle and is made to the exact same dimensions and specs to your Chassis. Plus his is an 80" so even rarer and the only one he has found that will do the job is a LHD Chassis that will still need changing.

Good to see people out on the plain acting responsibly! I hate the "off piste" morons, and I'm not ashamed to say I'd dob them in if I saw them. I'm no nark usually, but they ruin it for everyone. I want my nephews to have the right to greenlane one day!

New galv all the way, loses its originality but Some very scary chassis repairs out there.
A chap I was speaking to with a lovely 2a (my favourite landy) at billing,
Before he restored it His rear chassis rails to the rear cross member
turned out to be made from paint tins (or something equally flimsy) with sealant
Carefully sculpted to look like welds iirc. Imagen if he'd tow'd something?!
