Right. Sorry to be a pain again but I have a large amount of questions and want the advice from the more experienced members on what they have done .

Recently I managed the deal of the century picked up a 413 rolling chassis for $200nzd got a txt today having arranged pickup for Saturday saying do you want a 413 engine and box and a extra front diff/axle for a extra $100nzd total $300 so my questions.

Which diffs should I be running my 410 or the 413?(thinking 410)
Which engine the 410 the 413 or a 1.6vit or 2.0vit? (Thinking 1.3 or 1.6with413box)
What is the best suspension? (Thinking ruf with 1"extended shackles in rear)

Now I have parts I will be doing rear disk conversion.

Should I just run normal suspension. Although I want a lot of flex as I can get also want to run 32"simexs if I can.

Hope I get some good advice I am still trying to do this on the cheap but I will soon have spare parts for sale and maybe even a engine or 2

413 diff's won't fit a 410 axle case.

I love the 1.6. Its easy, cheap, quick, Suzuki, Light.

RUF is good for the front. A 1" shackle on the rear won't level it out though. You would be better with some lifted rears or some from another vehicle depending what's available over there.

You will need to trim the arches to fit 32s on that suspension setup.

Be careful when mixing diffs that they are the same ratio. Count the number of teeth on the Crown wheel of each diff - 413's have a different ratio to Samurai's (and I don't know if a "Sierra" is a Samurai or a 413).

If you can get a 410 transfer case with the fat props, then those are the sought-after t-case as they have a better ratio.

The most common setup for larger tyres is 1.6 engine, 410 t-case, 413 or Samurai gearbox and axles (Samurai axles are wider and 3.7:1 diffs, 413 axles are narrow with 3.9:1)

If you have a 2.0, that's been done (and the governor has one in the works) and should be freaky awesome.

I would say 1.6, 410 Transfer box and if you're not after the width 410 axles lower ratio's and smaller diffs = more clearance, interchangeable with 413 half shafts aswell (But not 413 diffs).

ah but the wider axles give you more tyre clearance at full lock so you dont need to limit the steering.

1.6, 410 or rocklobster tbox, Samurai axles, 413 3.9:1 diffs.

What about wheel spacers what sort of damage can be caused by that? Was considering some 50mm ones. Can I just strengthen bits tonstop damage.

Also how can I tell exactly what transfer I have. It has a drum brake hand brake attached to it. Any other way to tell if it's the good one?
And I have complete 413ae shafts with diffs so could put those on just wanted to know if those or 410 are better. Haven't found samurai ones and they quite rare down here
