digital clock wiring

ive just wired up a digital clock to the battery.but I need a diagram or help to wire it to accessories or ignition so the clock is not on all the time.i don't know if to wire it to accessories or ignition.the clock has 2 wires red and black.thanks

if it has red and black it will probably be on all the time!
The standard clock has 4 wires I think... positive, negative, illumination (comes on with lights) and ignition...

If it has an internal battery you might be ok, but otherwise it would need to be on all the time so you dont have to set the time every time you get in the car. Can you wiring it up to the battery and set the time, take it off for a while, then put it back on and see if the time is still correct?
