have I bought the correct brake cylinders

Post by keyring » Thu Mar 26, 2015 11:37 pm

Hey guys, I have an early sj410, and obviously is the same set up as stated in the pinned thread
Image

Originally I had only looked at the left side, I gave the parts store my reg and when the parts store asked if my cylinders had bleed nipples, I said yeah

However, I've noticed now that only the one side has the bleed nipple, so does this mean I've ordered the wrong ones, or do the bleed nipples have the same thread as the brake pipe fittings and its just a case of removing a bleep nipple and putting the brake pipe in?

Cheers

Unfortunately if yours is as the above diagram you will need the correct pipe in / pipe out cylinder.
replacing the bleed nipple for a pipe won't work.

Looking at that image, its the top two I need, although if anyone knows different, please correct me

My sj is a B reg, so I dunno if that makes it mk1 even though I'm sure its a 84/85

Do you have the original cylinders? Would be worth measuring the distance between the cylinder.

I haven't yet took the old ones off, but new cylinders should be delivered next week for the top two on that list

The top two show they are for the early model with drums up front as well.
