I don't know how it was advertised Scott found out from the people who he is doing the LWB for. There will be more in the future though hopefully.

It was a trial event to see if its worth doing it in the future.

Scottie was paid for by someone and We marshalled as it was the only way to join in.

Was a bit sceptical but was actually really good. Just had to make sure we stuck to certain areas and tell the quads to slow down, recover anyone we could, and respond to any radio calls.

Have some major electrical gremlins after the sinking and a lot more clunks and rattles.

Great day out. Limped home with 4 stops to fiddle with a broken king lead and the last few miles were a battle of 10 metres of flat out power followed by 100 metres of coasting.

Really good group of people up there.

Bet the travel time is about the same if you were prepared to suffer the boredom of the motorway.

The route down from us is a bit of a PITA.

I'd guess that in the SJ, I'm looking at about 3.5 hours each way. If I'm gonna drive for 7 hours round trip, I really want to be there for more than a day, honestly. Don't mind longer journeys if I'm on a train as I just sit and do a sodoku puzzle or 10, but that much time at the wheel of an SJ - no can do. Not on the motorways. My SJ isn't really mway compatible.

I tend to find that if I set my GPS to avoid motorways, the journey in the SJ doesn't take me any longer than trundling the motorways. Not really. The SJ is happy to sit at 55mph on B roads, keeping up with traffic, and these B road routes are usually physically shorter and more direct. Since I can't really do motorway speeds properly, doing the B roads is usually my preferred thing.

I doubt it'd take much more than 3.5 hours on the B roads, and it's likely to be a *much* nicer drive. Still too much for just one days play though, if I'm honest. I like to keep it down under about 2 hours each way.

Loving the flex from both! Scottie seems to have lost an arch though?!
