So working on the daily whale earlier (my big blue 87 carlton)

After a lot of faffing around getting the fuel tank refurbished
and changing all of what seems like a mile of breather and fuel hoses and a billion clips, I swear whoever designed this tank at vauxhall they must of had shares in a fuel hose company.
I find one hose is too short so i shot off to the local motor factors
To grab a new bit at £4 a ft! I dash home to catch the last of the
Dry weather as I'm doing this in the street. It starts to rain.
I shove all the tools and bits in the boot and slam the boot.

So guess where the only keys to the carlton and the keys to my
Samurai are?

not good, but then to quote my daughter "LOL"

I tried for ages. In the end smashing
the lock assembly and breaking the handle
Was the only way. Even then I had to disconnect
The central locking and deadlock mech
In the dark and through a handle sized
Hole.

It's already got miss matched keys so I wasn't
To bothered I just didn't want to damage the door
Anymore than it already is as it is slighlty creased but
very rust free which is rare for a carlton . In fact the whole
Car has very minimal rust for an 80s vauxhall.
I'll fit a rear handle which will De lock the door.

Wow didn't realise it would be that difficult, feel bad for laughing now

It's my own fault that got me in the situation.

It's nothing major anyways it's just another job I didn't
Really need to be having to do. I've been told
The door cards are a right pain to get off and
Not break anything. The cars pretty tidy so I'd like to
Keep it decent as it's only covered 34k in 28 years .
No lacquer peel either! Just dents lots and lots of dents.

Only having one Key is fatal

Going back a year or so ago, I owned a Fiesta, and my partner also had one, I had both keys on me, left the key in the ignition, and locked the door using the other key!

Had to break the sunroof to get in! Lucky the sunroofs are a clip in job, so popped down the scrapyard and picked one up for a fiver!
