After a fairly abusive track opposite dunston hall in norfolk my sammy has started making shattering/cracking sounds.This only started happening after about half and hour of driving it back from the track and there are no visible "cracks" however there are what look like long round scratches that can only be seen from the outside, it is also noteable that on the passenger side there is a tiny 3mm chip but none of these "scratches" come from or go near to the chip

I'll try and post a pic of the scratchy things if they show up on camera in the morning but I was wondering if anyone has a spare sj413 windscreen as I'm now looking for one (none on eBay atm) because I cannot afford to be without a car and if it does shatter either now or in the future I'd like to be able to just swap it out hassle free

Not sure if yours is a soft or tin top without looking. Try putting the windscreen down and see if is that. Old one I used to have, the rot on the surround would make that noise!
