Hi guys,
Just got my SJ410 1986 and have had a good look over it.
There is no radio and no 12v cigarette socket. I'm looking to wire in a 12v socket but want it only to come on when i turn the engine on, ACC?
Basically i'll be using it for running a high amp spotlight and occasionally a usb charger.
What are the best wires to tap into for this?
Many thanks
Switched live for a 12v cigarette socket?

Look for a wire that is black with a white tracer under the centre of the dash, usually one floating around somewhere for the cigarette lighter and stereo.

I found that one but it's live all the time? Should it be? It was wired into an iso plug so definitely for a radio.ScottieJ wrote:Look for a wire that is black with a white tracer under the centre of the dash, usually one floating around somewhere for the cigarette lighter and stereo.

Are you sure that wasn't a wire that was white with a black tracer? That one should be live on the first click of the ignition aka acc, however it shouldn't be permanently live.Phillips321 wrote:I found that one but it's live all the time? Should it be?
