Just wondering has anyone made their own aluminium 4-6mm skid plate, or know someone that might make one up a simple one for Jap fuel tank please?

I've made them out of 3mm steel.

I pewrsonally think aluminium is a bad material for bash/skid plates, it's too soft, I've seen loads of thick aluminium bash plates on various 4x4s get bent, it also doesn't slide if you get it hung up on rocks etc.
