Hi guys,

Would like to change my headlight bulbs to something that are whiter and brighter. I understand the laws regarding bulbs, however I would like to ask peoples opinions on what bulbs types they've gone for.

I'm leaning towards LED replacement bulbs as they'll allow me to flick the lights on quickly to scan a field without needing to start the engine. I believe the bulbs are P45t? (Suzuki SJ410 1986)

Anyone got any recommendations on the bulbs please?

I just upgraded over stock to these halogen bulbs (P43T) brighter and cheap too.

I thought you'd go for a vehicle mounted Cree searchlight or similar?

We've got 4 led flood lamps mounted on the bull bar. But they're flood so it would be nice to have something to reach into the distance.

We also use 12v handheld cree lamps for spotting, but the more the merrier!

Nope, but as a fly fisherman, I have the best go anywhere fishing 'car'

Got some new bulbs last night from APD, £15 the pair but they're 100/80w so nice and bright. :-)

My family used to own a trout farm in Ashington, West Sussex. I grew up fly fishing, but I haven't cast in about 20 years...

Only problem with using an SJ for fishing is that most rods are slightly too long to fit properly
