1.6 Vitara engine in Sj what back box have u got ?

Got a 1.6 Vitara engine in mine atm and currently doing the exhaust system running 1.3 manifold and and n ed ideas of what back box have you got that fits Also got a tow bar fitted so it's a tight fit around the fuel tank

Or will try and fit this big bore back box it is quite long

I made a custom system from the outlet of the mid box back as the standard system is quite restrictive after that but not too bad before there.

Cherry bombs fit well in the gap next to the tank. Take a look in my build thread.

Ye I did have a cherry bomb on it when I had the 1.0 engine but will try this back box only thing is that when the rear axle moves up it might touch the back box will see what it's like when I go off-roading lol

I would have thought that would fit. It's the clearance to the shock you need to worry about if they are still mounted in the standard position.

when i first put a 1.6 in i was using the stock 1300 exhaust pipe front to back.
Then I broke the backbox off and put a cherry bomb and did notice an actual improvement in performance
I think the 1300 one is quite restrictive to the 1600. Personally if you have the time I would probably replace the front box as well.

Ye it is currently 1.3 manifold and the rest is straight through pipe around 45mm wide was going to use the 1.6 manifold but the bolts that hold the exsaust on are sized will get a pic tomorrow

45mm should be plenty for the 1.6, unless you plan on boosting it
