KingPin shim

Just finished replacing the front wheel bearings on my 410 this morning, but I have noticed there is excessive movement in my king pins, about 5mm movement :x
Just wondering whether you can purchase shim's for these, and if so anyone know where from?
If not I will make some up tonight :)

Cheers

You can, but are you sure you don't just need to replace them?

My Jimny needs the kingpin bearings doing, it shakes between 30 and 40, 12 and 6 Movement on the wheel, and it's now starting to leak...

Where did I leave my hammer?

Cheers Dean, I've removed the pins and checked them against the specs on Haynes pro and the are within tolerance. And the bearings seem good
Whoever had the vehicle before me had made up a single shim that is 3mm thick for the top and bottom pin :argh:
Hopefully a new set of shim's will remove the play.
Might replace everything though while it's all out

On sjs you remove shims to reduce the amount of play. If you are stuck and can't find any (local Suzuki dealer will have them) then I can sort you out a few.
