Hi All,
being partly deaf ! (when you want to be my wife says) is it possible to fit two speakers for the CB by splitting the wire with a connector block so I can have one speaker to the front and one speaker to the rear of me ?
And another question what is the best way to quieten and reduce noise and vibration in the SJ ive seen some sound absorbing sheeting on the bay, any suggestions for that please ?
Dave

Re: CB speakers
Yes you can do that, or wire the CB into a stereo. Sound deadening is a good idea, use the carpets as a template.

Re: CB speakers
Best way to sound deaden an SJ is to make the exhaust really loud, that gets rid of engine noise and those illistrious squeaks knocks and rattles

Re: CB speakers
I can verify this. Mine has zero rattles or squeaks.timwilks13 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 10, 2018 12:35 amBest way to sound deaden an SJ is to make the exhaust really loud, that gets rid of engine noise and those illistrious squeaks knocks and rattles

Re: CB speakers
It's a pain as i'm deaf in my left ear, and I struggle to hear my CB while offroading, would be handy to have a AUX out so i could plug a speaker in or headphones but mine doesn't have it!

Re: CB speakers
You can buy external CB speakers and they are cheap and surprisingly loud and they plug into the rear using a 3.5mm jack. I would try one of them first and if that does not work you could always get another one and a splitter cable.
