Damage Report?

Post by Frenchy » Mon Nov 19, 2018 2:39 pm

A week or so ago I made the mistake of letting a friends son sit in my 413 while we chatted. The next morning I went on a 30k drive and it seemed as though when accelerating the engine was slightly pulling back. Anyway when I arrived I took a look around and it would seem he had engaged 4WD. In the 3 years I've had the car I've never gone off road so had never noticed the 4WD light doesn't work.Obviously the hubs weren't locked and now back in 2WD everything seems fine.If I ever do decide to try 4WD am I likely to find a problem?

As the hubs are unlocked I'd say no harm done.

Nothing to worry about, you'd know if those hubs were locked haha!

With that said, if the hubs were unlocked but you felt it was pulling back quite a bit I would check the 4WD is working ok. From what you described you would only be turning the front prop, diff and half shafts. Check you have oil in the front diff if I were you.
