My wife is on about wanting a little 4x4 to use in winter. I'm liking the idea if it's something I can use for off roading. She fancies a Jimny, but every one I've looked at nearby is going to need major surgery soon to cure the rust.
However there is a 3dr 57 Plate Grand Vitara 1.6 VVT I've seen that is pretty spotless. The downside being that it doesn't have a low range. Which leads me to asking, as the larger 5 door does, is it much of a job add low range to the 3 door?
Can I add low range?

I don't know how hard it will be to retrofit, but if you can try and source the turbo diesel 3 door, they have the same drivetrain as the 5 door with Low Range.
