Do you need a special socket spanner to dismantle the seat rails? An ordinary socket spanner will not do the job. I have the impression that the bolts are a bit conical.

Put a picture on if you can, it'll give people a better idea of what it looks like. Depending on space and how easy it is to get to would some mole grips do the job?
