Hi all I'm new to the group, been a Vitara owner for a year now and just starting to modify my Veeto!
I have a 1998 1.6 8v SPI model, the engine has a bad bottom end rattle and struggles past 2k rpm (scraped through MOT last year due to this)
I have now bought a 2004 Grand Vitara 1.6 16v MPI donor car
my plan is to strip the engine out (a long with ECU, wiring loom and whatever else to make it work) and plop it in my baby!
I was wondering what else would be useful for me to take from the donor car that I could use on my own? I have read the springs from the GV will give me a 1.5" lift but there was no signs on whether I should use the GV shocks, my standard shocks, or buy extended shocks?
I've also noticed the brakes are bigger on the GV, should I try to swap these over for that little extra stopping power?
Any help and advise on integrating the ECU and wiring loom into my car would be greatly appreciated too
