Shackles replace the originals(originals being shorter) and raise the chassis via the springs ....but there are more down sides to this lift method, they hinder your approach angles, flatten your leaf springs, dig in to terrain or can hit low rocks or stumps which does not feel very nice at all.......trust me in this case the cheaper option is not the best! If you haven't already viewed the diy page there is a section on how to make your own body lift. Alternatively you could do add a leaf......which simply is you add an extra leaf to your pack...these can be round £100 from llama.
Hope this helps.

CRINGE
Stay away from the shackles, they can also throw your steering all over the shop as well as above reasons.
A body lift does just that, raises the body from the chassis via spacer blocks.
