oil filler cap, ops

ops went out sunday an after my pre checks i was ready to go,
well i was till she started stalling after a few hours driver in,
so i poked my head under the bonnet an to my horror there was oil every where
an no filler cap,

help wot have i dun?
has any one els bin as silly as me an wot went worng for them,
im change the oil an filter an putting a new filler cap on any think els may need to do.

I have'nt done it (yet, memory is going though so time will tell), I wouldnt have thought you would have done any permenant damage. At worst you lost some oil and maybe a bit of water contamination judging by your vid . So an oil and filter change incase any water got and should be fine .

As a thought have you got axle and gearbox breathers :roll:

she starts an runs for a bit then she just dyes,
dun all the oil an filters

Sorry didnt read that right :oops: I never realised it wasnt running now.

Sounds like you may have got water in the top end :cry: You need to pressure test each cylinder or whip the head off and investigate further does it sound bad when it tries to run ? possible bent valve or similar :cry:

Hope its nothing to bad :roll:

it was the fuel pump it got wet she is now up an running £72 later
