oil filler cap, ops

ops went out sunday an after my pre checks i was ready to go,
well i was till she started stalling after a few hours driver in,
so i poked my head under the bonnet an to my horror there was oil every where
an no filler cap,
help wot have i dun?
has any one els bin as silly as me an wot went worng for them,
im change the oil an filter an putting a new filler cap on any think els may need to do.

I have'nt done it (yet, memory is going though so time will tell), I wouldnt have thought you would have done any permenant damage. At worst you lost some oil and maybe a bit of water contamination judging by your vid . So an oil and filter change incase any water got and should be fine .
As a thought have you got axle and gearbox breathers

yer got brethers,
she starts an runs for a bit then she just dyes,

Sorry didnt read that right

I never realised it wasnt running now.
Sounds like you may have got water in the top end

You need to pressure test each cylinder or whip the head off and investigate further does it sound bad when it tries to run ? possible bent valve or similar
Hope its nothing to bad

it was the fuel pump it got wet she is now up an running £72 later

that may off never bin needed
