iv dun a engine change to a 1.6 vit lump with out a mechanicil fuel pump,
it used a electric fuel pump in the fuel tank, as now its on my sammy there is no tank or pump.
not to worry as when i got the engine it was in a sammy with a electric fuel pump all ready fitted,
the other day it killed over so i went to get a new one it cost me 72notes have bin running it for 5days
an it killed over 2, so im now in the market for another has any one got any recommendation?
the new one is not the same as the one that was fitted as i was told they dont make it any more an this one was close.

Re: electric fuel pump
just had an idea ill have a look on ebay
found them on ebay
old one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FUEL-PUMP-ELECTRI ... 286.c0.m14
new one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ELECTRIC-FUEL-PUM ... 286.c0.m14
so they do still make it an there is a lot difference between them like £20 on the cost off the new unit form my local auto part shop (no names) that i wont get off ebay £20 cheeper as it died once an will most prob die again an also as my old one new is cheeper with postage off ebay, an around 80liters a hour stronger (old delivers 120 litres an hour at 1.4psi where the new delivers 40 litres an hour at 1.5/2.0psi) an lasted months not days well hours 3times to work around 1.5miles a time,
iv not yet orderd my new old one yet in case some one tells off a s**t hot one for less. but monday after work ill be ordering one maybe 2 if they will do it cheeper as i all ways like haveing a spare as you never no
