I got this on the back of a box of spotlights I bought, I thought it would be good to share as there often is a lot of 'where is legal for my spot lights to be mounted?'

Just remember, this doesn't mean you're not allowed to have lights in different places.
It just means that they have to be in these locations if you want to use them on the road!

Well just wired me roof spots ,they only come on when using full beam :) but when you switch the lights off the spots come on :( confused ?

driving along in the dark the other night, so i put my spots on as you do... EVERYTHING WENT DARK!!!! NO LIGHTS AT ALL!!! :censored:

so i told it to behave its self and it worked!! (later found a fuse hanging out.. ) :hahaha:

:D Well just been outside with a little link I just made ,linked 86 and 30 and Bingo !!!! Allstate working perfect spot only come on with main beam and flash :doublethumbs: cheers guys !

Chrisdolf you do realise that it's a bit of a legal grey area to use roof mounted lights on road don't you? If a copper sees you with them on as he comes around a corner you could be pulled.

I was about to say the same. PC Plod will have your wallet if he catches you.

One thing that's always puzzled me, how to lorry's get away with having spots 12 foot up in the air.

Yes I do,I put a switch in so I can switch them off as only want them for when I'm out shooting,alls not well anyway as just drove round field to see what there are like and they went dimmer and dimmer and now me battery is flat :(

Good job! Is your alternator working or have you just got too many spots for the existing alternator to cope with?
