SCUK Google Maps account

Dan is there any chance you could look into creating a account on google maps with the clubs email address.

it would enable users to enter their rough position (first half of postcode MAX) and abit about themselves

i would personally just put a marker over the town i live in somewhere random. NOT MY HOME ADDRESS

it can also log photos and videos by location and you can also mark TRACKS on it aswell as mark points of intrest such as Pay n Play sites and good play locations etc..

this would enable users to see where other users and facilities are around them aswell as those of us that live close together being able to mark stuff for each other.

i would reccomend trialing it with between 5-10 users to start off just to see if it works.

the details will have to be sent out via PM as we wouldnt want the whole world knowing the details to log onto our little SCUK map.

the map would also be viewable but not editable by anyone we give permission to if we wanted but i think we would have to look into that once weve seen if it works

heres a link. check it out theres a good vid of it all working

i have tried it and its very easy to use but im not givving my personal account details out!!
