Anyone running fiddles?

I can only find them on milner 4x4

I had no idea, then googled. Are they a type of brakes?

i think rhino ray does them but they wont be cheap

yeah they are brakes, you have two extra (hand?) brake levers in the car, one operates the brakes on the left.... one operates the brakes on the right,

It means if you are stuck in a hole and you have the wheels on the left spinning put the left brakes on and all the pushing force goes to the wheels in the goo, Its like a cheap mans difflock, I suppose if you wanted to go crazy with it you could put an idividual brake on each wheel which would help when your cross axled but for sake of simplicity I would be tempted to just put it on the back axle.... everyone says if your going to get a difflock put it on the back and thats what this basicaly is!

No But I will be when i build an offroad only truck, as you canot fit them on a road legal vehicle. IMO best way to do it is one of the fiddle brake twin levers from milners as they aren't badly priced and an extra set of calipers for them on the rear axle.

and as tramp says they can be used to transmit power to the wheel that has most grip or you can lock up the inside rear wheel on sharp turns to make tight turns easier, perfect for trials

I think if I was doing it I might go for rover 600 rear disc conversion, connect them to the fiddle brakes, then have a 410 t-box handbrake or an X-brake
