Any idea about powder coating on car wheels?

What about it? at my local powder coater you have to remove the tyres from the wheels and take them down, they charge extra if you require the blasting but in my experience if they blast it then there is less likely for it to go wrong, once they have the parts it may take a while to be finished (depends what colour you want if its gloss black or matt black it will be quicker as they do lots of things that colour) usually my things have took between a few days and 2 weeks, then you will have to go and have the tyres refitted and balanced and then your sorted,
sometime the powdercoating can come off around the wheel nuts where it squashes the finish, but if your doing alloys the fitting holes are usually recessed (so can be blanked for powdercoating) Also you have to be gentle fitting tyres as the powdercoating does chip,
