which insurance company do you all use?
Hi,
I am hopefully picking up my 1st SJ tomorrow!! I am well excited. I have arranged 2 day insurance so I can drive home legally.
I was on moneysupermarket to get some quotes and I almost choked on my magners!!! About. £500 for the year!!! I was not expecting that!!!
I don't have any no claims as I have a company car for years and have 6 points for speeding!!! 3 of them will come off in November.
I may have also been too honest and said there are a few modifications to the car? Should I be honest or not.
any advice would be great.
Cheers
Buck

How old are you if you don't mind my asking?
I use Frank Pickles, but you need to have a clean license unfortunately... and be over 25
The don't do no claims, but I got insured for about £150
They let you have whatever modifications you want with no hassle or huge cost.
Sureterm Direct have quoted me £217 for the insurance, and that's through Confused.com
I'm 25, clean license, driving 8 years, 3 years NCB

Hi,
I am 28, but as have a dirty licence that may be why.
My mrs is 35 and has got a clean licence but as she has a company car too she doesn't have any ncb. Will that insurer allow named drivers? As she could insure it and name me.
Cheers

I've only just got my lisence and the cheapest insurer for me was the co-op. Possibly give them a call?
There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Adrian Flux for me with all the mods declared.... (they try and get out of paying if you don't declare them) It doesn't cost anything extra to add them on to a flux policy

I serched and searched and searched, but the cheapest i could find 12 months ago for me all mods declared was 1300. Cheaper to do my trailer test and fuel the landy!

Just picked up my SJ this evening, will post some photos tomorrow.
I called Frank Pickles today, the best quote I had from tinterweb was £500ish.
Frank was able to do 3rd party F&T for £115 and FC for £140!!!!!!!
Result!!! I was 100% honest too!!
Thanks again Twiss.
Cheers
