went laning over the weekend. was a good laugh.

however..... the only casualties were my tired old track rod ends and my speedo cable....

where can i get track rod ends..?

im guessing speedo cable is on fleebay... but i cant find any track rod ends...


any help would appeciated.

I gots a track rod end :)

Speed cable is usually a Suzuki only part... I've always ordered mine from the dealer.

genuine suzuki dealer? fair enough.. let me gues.. 20 quid? 30??

shit well i need one as a legal requiremnt on the road lol...


the track rod end thats most worn is the passenger side one...my front left wheel feels like everyday its 'shufflin' hahaa

The speedo/odometer cable goes from the transfer box to the dash.
The rev counter is all electrical trickery!

really? oh right.. well then.. i though that was the tacho cable..... oh well fuck me side ways. that explains ALOT!

i remember the cable being secured by a small screw in the Tbox... but feeding it through the dash was a bastard aprently!

It's really not mate... piece of cake... it's quite a stiff cable so you just push it through ;)

.... but you don't really need to change it unless you want to know what speed ur going!

I think C&U regs say you should have one... but MOT doesn't need a speedo.

The only time you would need to worry is if you got pulled.. but the speedo won't be going anywhere when ur stopped ;)

yeah i remember the speedo thing when i use to work at the motorcycle place in horley.. legal requirement for the road but NOT for a MoT. weird.

ima have a look through my spares first. but im not driving it untill i do the track rod end... dotn like the handling.


using the bike... very fun!
