Maybe i'm being special. But can someone point out to me where this whole thing mentions the seal?

Is that bearing preload still accurate enough to measure it whilst the diff is in the Zuk with the additional force required to turn the shafts/wheels?
Or should the diff be removed to set it up properly?

It's prob best to pull the shafts then you can at least measure the starting torque before you take it apart. You could always by a solid crush collar and follow this guide

Please help. I am in a country with no special tools, I have removed the pinion, I do not have a bearing splitter and want to change the bearing (knackered) have you any ideas how I can remove it.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
I am new to the world of 4x4s and relative beginner at mechanics.
I have an sj413 samurai and I have carried out a spoa conversion... I bought a set of second hand axles which were already converted. Unfortunately when I filled the diff up with oil the oil poured out in two places. The first was where the prop shaft connects - I believe this is the pinion seal. However, the second place was behind where you attach the wheel... The rear axle has been converted to discs. Please can someone advise me of what I need to replace and the part/parts I need?
Thank you in advance for any help or suggestions.
Regards
Chris

Hello
Its my 1st post. Just wondered if the gearbox on the sj413 is exactly the same as the jimny 2001. Also is the front/rear diffs interchangeable between the sj & jimny. Just trying to establish what sj parts i can use if the need arises. Many thanks

I know this is an old thread but... Im going to be checking the preload on my front diff soon. Does anyone know what diameter the suzuki tool 09922-75221 shown in the manual is?
Im going to 3d print one. It looks from the picture to be the same diameter as the flange?
