Took my SJ out Sunday at my local pay & play I'm stunned how good it was stock no lift road tyres, it went places my lifted WJ Grand Cherokee could not. Will be getting some mud tyres when I have the £ & maybe a lift.

M/T Tyres
Definitely the first thing you should get!
Are you going to be on road as well? if yes, I would advise towards Insa Turbo Sahara/Greenway macho tread pattern
(just image search either of those on google, you'll get some good pics)
If it's mainly off road, I would go for the Insa Turbo Special track/malatesta kaiman tread pattern. Great for spraying chunks of mud everywhere, not so good when you're on the road and need to go from 60mph to stationary in a hurry!!!

I had Insa Turbo Sahara's on my disco, they were brilliant...Gripped like poo to a blanket in the mud..I've got Insa Turbo Special Tracks on my SJ.. They aren't as good on the road-very noisy and judderwobblejudder on the road.

ahha tell me about it ive got the original grizzly bears and there pretty much the same as Insa Turbo Special Tracks , and there a nightmare on the road constant rumble top tip wear ear defenders
then you bounce all over the place with the calmini suspension dont help that much aswell

Still got it it's lifted 2" too
Lifting it more than 2"& good bumpers are very expensive. Took to a pay & play a few times but didn't want to damage it & its massive swb loads better.
