Right then after I posted this I had a bit of spare time so I decided to get the old girl out, shes the same as she was when she went in but just a bit dustyer, I got the dyson out and gave her a quick Vac. Then I changed the fastback roof, back to the proper one (that way I wouldn't be tempted to fill it with crap and when its zipped up it should keep some of the dust out) I then jacked each wheel up and turned it so it wouldn't be sitting on the same spots on the tyres hopefully when she eventually hits the roads again I won't have to buy new ones!

First light of day in over a year..

Dusty Interior that I had been using to store stuff in (don't you hate it when you leave something so long it becomes burried?)

My fire extinguisher is still good to go!

Then the reason shes laid up.... (drivers side sill)

then I noticed some 2008 driffield mud in the chassis! horrible stuff really clay like!

Image

Theres not much sign of the indoor pool that was in the foot well, the only lasting damage is a white coating on the zinc plated stuff a spot of rust and the ink running off my car alarm sticker!

Image

And finally even after a year, it still has its tragic gangsta lean

Too be honest there isn't that much work to do to it before the road, when I jacked it up I noticed the drivers side front wheel moved a lot, possibly the kingpins but I'm in no rush to get it sorted, It feels good to get it out for a while!

It's a shame we can't start something like the 30 minute makeover team with all the experts on here... The team descends on the stricken vehicle and Bing,Bang Bosh..MOT'ed in a weekend.

only problem would be everyone would have there own opinion on how to do it we would stand around for hours discussing non inportant things like who was making the tea or who's round it was for the beers

it would be like too many chiefs not enough Indians
