4 will probably be the shortest, then just work round clockwise

as my body was off and I was stood right next to it I figured a photo speakes 1000 words.

as they go through the last clip on the rocker cover they are in the correct order.

obvoiusly the photo is taken from the rear of the engine

Why are distributors so variable? I'm looking at yours and mine is completely the opposite but running lumpy...

im pretty damn sure thats how it was last time it was running. it has been off and on but I kept it all assembled and in that last clip and put it straight back on so the order should be ok

It all depends on how the dizzy is put in, as long as number 4 is at tdc when the rotor arm is pointing at where the lead going to number 4 is in the correct place and then all the leads are in the correct order after that it will work. If you get my drift. 1 is at the front of the engine 4 is near the dizzy

Rotate the engine to that the timing marks line up on the crank pully then pop off the dizzy cap and note where the rotar arm is pointing, the lead going to the number 4 cylinder should be on that point.
Then follow the leads around the dizzy clockwise in the order 4213 (same as what Henry said just starting with 4 not 1)
Zuki Build

Steady as she goes!
