Changed clutch now cant get gears..

I changed my clutch on sunday and all went well.. I can select all gears when engine isn't running and the clutch feels right..
Doesn't make any weird noises etc.. But when I then turn the engine on and push the clutch down I cant engage any gears..?
Can just about crunch into reverse and it jerks back but that's it!
Anyone got any ideas..? Pretty sure I put the clutch on round the right way as I have done them before.. I used a couple dabs of super glue to hold the plate central while attaching it but thats never caused any problems before..
Also the cable is tighttoo! I tightened it up to see if that was the problem..????

Can you remember which way round you put the clutch ? The flat side should have been towards the engine. I know a few ppl that have put them in the wrong way round. There should be a small amount of free play on the release arm under your zuke. You can feel it if you move the release arm by hand.

Sounds to me like you might've put the clutch in the wrong way around

To me there seems like theres 2 things it could be..
either I put the clutch on the wrong way round but Im pretty sure I did put it flat face towards the engine.. as I remember looking at it thinking make sure I do that..
Or the glue as stuck the 2 together and now wont disengange.. so I might try put it into gear and ignition on and getting a little tow.. and see if that sorts the fucker out!
Only problem now is it wont start, think thats were I kept starting and turning it off trying it.. so might try a jump

Glue?
edit: I just re read the first post, I've never heard of that one before
not something I would suggest doing really
Could perhaps be that the release bearing is on wrong? I would personally whip the gearbox back off and have a look rather than risk any damage to the clutch

Im with scottiej on this. Take the gearbox off and double check before trying to drive it anymore. Compare the dimensions of your new clutch to the old one. Its possible the centre could be slightly deeper/longer. Good luck

Couldn't be arsed to take it apart and was positive I hadn't done anything wrong so... rolled it onto the road and attached it the otherhlfs parents mitsubushi warrior thingy.. ignition on and first gear pushing clutch up and down.. pulled it and then it stopped a breif suspence moment were I heard him rev it a bit more and then bang!
Just what I thought, It started up like a bump start.. had stuck them together needed a little abuse to free it! Like new now!
Little advise which you all probably knew.. don't stick your clutch together!
