Some of my brake pipes are a bit rusty and need replacing to pass an MOT (or so I've been told) the pipe I need to relace is the one running along the chassis to the back axel. Does anyone know what spec pipe I need?
Will this work?

Thanks, is there any special equipment I'll need to bleed the brakes once I've replaced the pipe. I've never worked on brakes before so have no idea about bleeding.

you can get a kit to do it your self, which ive never used or get someone to pump the pedal following process below.
top up system
you : undo the nipple
other person : slowly push pedal down and hold down
you :do nipple back up
other person : raise pedal
repeat until there is just fluid coming out, no air
think thats right, unless someone wants to correct me, its been a while

i only bought a brake line spanner because i was fed up of rounding off the nipples, thought it was a good idea, and it was a quid on ebay. havent used it yet tho

All my brake parts came today, all ready to fit this weekend. One question though, it's probably blindingly obvious, but how do the fittings fix onto the pipe?

You need a pipe flaring tool. Something like this............

oh, yea like above you need a flaring kit. ebay or any half decent motor factors will carry them.
basically all you do is,
cut the pipe to size allowing extra to flare the ends,
de burr the cut end,
slide the brake connection on the the pipe, thread towards the cut end,
put it in the correct hole in the clamp, with the right amount sticking out the top
place the black flaring thing in the end of the clamped pipe
slid the spike thing over the clamp
place the spike thing in the black flaring bit and do it up
this will flare the end ,
undo and walah one flared end.
excuse my words but i cant remember what the bits are called.

One last question. Is the a specific order to bleed the brakes in? I vaguely remember hearing there was some where before.
