Can any one point me in the right direction. I'm about to rebuild my 413 diffs and will def need front cwp, but I am tempted to fit lower vit ratios. Just need to know what year/model etc I need to look for as a donor.

Cheers in advance.

What size tyres are you running? No point in 5.12 diffs unless its running 34/35s and mostly used offroad. 4.6:1 is ideal for 33s. if you lower the diff ratios you will loose top speed on road and end up running the engine at high revs constantly when driving fast.

If your tyres are smaller than 33s then I would just get a rocklobster transfer box to drop the gearing.

Oh, ok. Just thought that while i had them apart i might upgrade. I'm running 1.6 lump,1.3 box,1.0t/box. Just fitted 1.3axles and front diff has seen better days so i am going to rebuild. I do have a pair of sammy diffs but would they affect my gearing to much?

There isn't much in it between Sammy (3.7) and 413 (3.9) diffs so it wouldn't make a huge difference.

what size tyres are you running?

Have a little play with the gear calculators here http://forum.suzukiclubuk.co.uk/vi ... 12/t,2947/ to work out the differences, Tim Pinks spreadsheet is very handy!

I would just throw the sammy diffs in for the time being then while you rebuild the 413 diffs (or sell them to me ;) ) , I doubt you'll hardly notice the difference with tyres that size and the 1.6
