Jimny tyre sizes

Post by Christoff » Wed Apr 11, 2012 4:50 pm

Need to put a new set of tyres on my mums jimny

It currently has 195 R15 fitted but they were only temporary to get through winter and have cracks in the sidewalls, im also not sure of the aspect ratio as its not printed on the tyre for some reason

Anyway these ride much better than the standard 205's it came on, think its because of the higher sidewalls, the standard tyres were very hard riding

Can anyone recommend a good tyre size to put on that is common enough be be cheap but also slightly all terrain to keep the comfort

ta

If its not shown on the tyre it means they have the standard aspect ratio of 80

Oh ok didnt know that

I priced up 195 80 15 but they are ridicolous prices. Must be an oddball size.

Found 205 70 15 maxxis 4x4 at £50 per tyre. More like what im after i think. I think that might be the standard size for the jimny im not sure
