Just a quick one, can front and rear diffs be swapped or is rotation different?

I'm pretty sure the diff internals are the same apart from the side gears. The front and rear halfshafts have different splines so you need to swap the side gears.

So, unless you want to rebuild your diffs in the process I think the answer is no, not really

Front have 22 spline side gears and rear have 26spline so it is not a direct swap, it's not hard to swap the side gears out but you need to ideally measure the backlash before stripping and set it back up the same. I have done this before by feel, just carefully marking & counting how many revolutions of the side bearing adjusters it took to remove them and then rebuilding it exactly the same in the reverse.

However if you aren't confident I wouldn't risk it otherwise it might cause the diff to fail prematurely.
