PCV valve problems and Weber choke

I seem to be having the clogged up PCV valve problem, in that it keeps getting stuck and raising the idle to around 2-3k rpm. Ive cleaned it out with WD40 and its fine, right until I go green laning and it gets all dirty again, then it gradually gets higher.
Sometimes if I jab the throttle hard, it wont get stuck until I touch the throttle lightly again, and up it goes!! Also noticed the throttle linkage wasnt QUITE touching home on the idle speed screw sometimes, barely anything but if pushed back manually it would drop the idle to normal speed.
On another note, my manual choke on the Weber doesnt seem to affect the starting/idling/running of the engine whether its it or out. The cable is definately attatched and opens the choke plates as it should. But makes no difference
