Any ideas where i'd be able to find some cowling for the sj?
got an electric fan fitted but no cowling, just after an extra bit of cooling for when it gets/ if it ever gets hot outside
cheers steve

I doubt you'll ever need the extra cooling. I've been thinking about removing two blades from my fan to try and get the damn thing to heat up more.

I'm just using a 14" electric fan and it seems to keep my 16v cool enough on a standard SJ radiator
I was using a 10" fan with my 8v engine, and that had sort-of built in cowling.
Does it run all the time or is it connected via a thermostat?

its actually wired to a switch on the dash. not sure how big it is without measuring...

I think that halfway up the gauge is where it should normally sit...
but I've scrapped the regular temp gauge and got an aftermarket one.
Mine will start and warm up with the fan off. Takes roughly 3 minutes to get up to full temperature.
After that, the fan cuts in and out and keeps the temp at 90-95*C
