What is the easiest vitara engine to fit into a Sammy?

1.6 8v carb I assume? Also the SPi and MPi engines I assume need ECU's and additional wiring? Can they be converted to run on a carb easily? Done a few searches but cant find a definative list as such

Any 8v is easy to get running on a carb. Dont know about the manifold for the 16v but im sure it has been done.

If you want to run injection you need the ecu and loom like you said.

To summarise the 1.6 8v carb is easiest.

Also what I went for as I wanted the mechanical fuel pump.

Its still pretty easy to convert the SPI to carb...
Just a leccy fuel pump and a suitable carb and manifold

I have a swift 16v inlet manifold that tim pink converted to SU... so it is possible!!!
